Who we are and what this covers
Lumenshore Limited is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. It covers the LumenApexflow iPhone app, account services and this website. Other Lumenshore products have their own notices.
The app plays prerecorded, original soundscapes. Our imaginative artwork and listening-state names are not a medical assessment of you.
Information on your device
Preferences, onboarding choices, private notes, saved rituals, cached audio and local listening history are stored on your device. The app uses them to remember your choices, support playback and personalise your experience.
When you choose signed-in services, completed sessions and fit ratings may also sync to your account. Private notes and the complete local history are not automatically uploaded as part of that sync. Device backups and operating-system storage are subject to your device settings.
Optional accounts and sign-in
If you choose to create an account, our sign-in provider Clerk processes your account identifier, email address and available profile details. Signing in with Apple or Google shares the identity information you authorise, such as an identifier, email, name or profile image.
Google sign-in does not give Apexflow access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts or other unrelated Google content. You can choose a different available sign-in method or use local listening without an account.
Listening and support information
Signed-in sessions can include the soundscape chosen, duration, completion and a fit rating. These records support account features and your listening history.
When you submit a support report, we receive the text you send. If you choose to attach diagnostics, these may include app and operating-system versions, device class, language, time zone, the current screen, audio state and recent diagnostic events. Please share only what is needed to help.
Royal and purchase information
Apple processes payment for Royal. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple and RevenueCat provide purchase and subscription information needed to recognise, restore and manage access.
RevenueCat receives your opaque account identifier and App Store purchase, product, renewal, expiry, entitlement and subscription-status information. We do not send RevenueCat your email address, name or other profile details. Purchase information is linked to your account so Royal can work across your signed-in devices.
Website visits and audio previews
You can browse this website and listen to previews without creating an account. A preview is requested only when you press play. Your current preview, position and volume are held in page memory, not saved as a listening profile.
Our hosting services process technical connection information to deliver pages and media and keep the site secure. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights provide usage and performance reporting, including page paths, referrers, approximate location derived from the connection, browser/device details and performance measurements. We do not attach your app account to website analytics.
Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies or a cross-site advertising identifier. These website measurements are separate from the app’s privacy settings.
Information we do not ask for
The current app does not collect location, health records, contacts, calendar content, microphone recordings, advertising identifiers or a persistent device identifier. It does not use personal information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We do not sell personal information. The current app does not include an active general-purpose analytics SDK. A preference shown in the app does not by itself mean an analytics service is running.
Why we use information
We use account, listening and purchase information to provide the features you request; support information to help you; and limited technical records to protect and maintain the service.
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, our bases are performance of our contract for requested account and subscription features, legitimate interests in support, service reliability and abuse prevention, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Our legitimate interests are operating a safe, reliable listening service and understanding whether the website works well. We balance those interests against your rights. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.
International processing
Our providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where a restricted international transfer requires safeguards, we use applicable adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses and the UK transfer addendum, as appropriate.
You can ask us for information about safeguards relevant to your personal information through the contact route below.
How long information stays
On-device information remains until you clear it, remove the app, or your device removes it, subject to any device backups. Account and synced listening records are kept while needed to provide and secure your account, or until a valid deletion request is completed.
Support and security records are kept only as long as needed to handle the issue, protect the service and resolve disputes. Purchase and transaction records may need to be retained for tax, fraud prevention, accounting or other legal obligations. Retention depends on the record and applicable law rather than one period for every category.
Protected backups may retain residual copies until they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle. We restrict information retained after a deletion request to the remaining permitted purpose.
Clearing data and requesting deletion
Use the app’s Privacy Center to clear eligible information on this device or request deletion of your Apexflow account data. These are separate actions: clearing a device does not by itself erase account, purchase or support records held elsewhere.
Account deletion is scoped to LumenApexflow. It does not mean that your Apple or Google identity, other Lumenshore products, or all records held independently by payment providers have been deleted. If you also want a separately managed sign-in identity removed, include that in your request so we can explain the scope.
We may retain limited transaction, legal, security and deletion-verification records where required or permitted by law. Ask Support if you need help understanding a request’s status.
Deleting app data or an account does not cancel Royal. Cancel separately in your Apple subscription settings to stop renewal.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. Some rights have exceptions.
Contact us to make a request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and protect your account. We respond within the applicable legal period and explain any permitted extension or refusal. You can ask for an explanation or review of our response.
If UK or European law applies, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner or your local supervisory authority. Other jurisdictions may provide additional rights, including appeals or authorised-agent requests. We do not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Children and sensitive information
Apexflow is not directed at children. Please contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information without appropriate authorisation, so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Please do not include sensitive health information in notes submitted to Support. Apexflow is not a health-care service.
Keeping information safe
We use access controls, secure connections and other safeguards appropriate to the service. No online system or device can be guaranteed completely secure.
Protect your sign-in method and device. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, contact Support and secure your Apple, Google or email account as appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change and show the effective date. Where required, we provide additional notice or seek consent before a material new use of your information.
